At Commercial Metals Company, employee benefits are an important component of your total compensation package. It is for this reason that the Company has taken great care to research and develop a comprehensive program of benefits that allows flexibility when enrolling for coverage.

Noted below is a summary of our key programs for full-time, U.S.-based employees.

Medical
The medical plans offered by CMC are designed to help protect you and your covered dependents against financial loss by paying for a substantial portion of eligible expenses. We offer employees a choice of a “Premium” or “Basic” PPO plan through Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Prescription Drug Program
The CMC Prescription Drug Plan covers prescriptions through retail local pharmacies or by mail order with 15% co-insurance or a copay. Retail fills prescriptions with a 30-day supply while mail order provides coverage for long-term maintenance drugs with a 90-day supply.

Vision
CMC understands the importance of taking care of your eyesight. The vision plans offered by CMC promote preventive care through regular eye exams and early corrective treatment. A “Premium” and “Basic” PPO is provided through VSP.

Dental
The dental plans offered by CMC are designed to promote preventive care with 100% coverage for exams and cleanings twice a year for employees and their covered dependents. The “Premium” and “Basic” plans assist you by paying a portion of eligible expenses incurred for a wide range of dental services. These PPO plans are offered through Delta Dental.

Long Term Disability
The CMC Disability Plan is designed to replace a portion of your income if you are unable to work for an extended period due to an accident or sickness. It provides the vital support, services, and assistance you need to get back to work and to an independent lifestyle. You are automatically covered for long-term disability as CMC pays the entire cost of this plan provided by Liberty Mutual.

Life and Accident Insurance
The CMC Life and Accident Insurance Plan protects employees by providing basic life and accident insurance at 2 times your annual salary at no cost to the employee. In addition, optional life and accident insurance is available for purchase on employees or dependents at group rates. The CMC Life and Accident Program is insured by Liberty Mutual.

Business Travel Accident Insurance
CMC understands that you may be required to travel for business purposes from time to time. It is this reason that CMC provides Business Travel Accident (BTA) Insurance at no cost to you. BTA benefits are in addition to your Basic Life, Basic Accident, as well as any Optional Life or Accident insurance you may purchase. You are automatically enrolled for Business Travel Accident and are covered on your first day of employment. BTA insurance is provided through MetLife.

Retirement Plans
CMC sponsors a Profit Sharing and 401(k) plan that is designed to help you save for retirement on a pre-tax basis. You can receive discretionary Company matching and other Company contributions, choose from a range of investment options, and build a tax deferred accumulation of dividends, interest, and other earnings. Day-to-day administration and recordkeeping are provided by T. Rowe Price.
