Protecting Our Planet

We begin our steelmaking process with steel scrap, the currency of recycling. We keep our facility clean and efficient, even recycling any steel dust or scraps that result from manufacturing.

CMC Steel Texas is a charter member of the Governor’s “Clean Industries 2000” program, which highlights corporate commitment to the environment. Our water conservation program is recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as being one of the best in the country.

All in all, we believe in doing everything we can to keep our world a safe, clean place.

Commercial Metals Company is ranked No. 86 on Fortune magazine’s annual list of the 100 fastest growing companies. Companies are ranked by revenue growth and earnings-per-share growth rate over four quarters, as well as their 3-year annualized total return to investors for the period ended June 30. The overall rank is based on the sum of the three rankings.
