The Mill

The CMC Steel Texas rolling mill is a 17-stand, in-line, no-twist mill.

The rolling mill, capable of 3000 ft/min finishing speeds, is fed from a 140 ton/hr gas fired furnace and is equipped with quick change stands for optimum flexibility and operational efficiency.

The fully equipped in-house roll shop provides the needed support for a rolling program that encompasses over 160 sections.

The rolled product is delivered to a 260' long cooling bed, where it is conveyed through the shear and cut to the desired length.
