Outside Sales Manager (5300)

Position Overview


This position supports the organization by overseeing the Outside Sales Team and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Outside Sales Manager works hands-on with the Outside Sales Representatives in day to day operations. As part of the Outside sales team, the manager interfaces with customers providing in-depth product knowledge and maintaining client relationships. This is an exempt position with a schedule of 7AM to 5PM.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Build and maintain customer relationships – earning their trust and preference by meeting their needs.
• Supervise the work of employees, provide feedback, and counsel to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Conducting monthly analysis of accounts
• Meeting Sales Targets
• Conducting Pre- Construction meetings with clients
• Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly
• Telephone and face to face contact with customer
• Computer entry sales orders and price/job quoting
• Attend sales meetings, training and activities
• In depth product and customer knowledge

Experience and Skill Requirements

• 3-5 years’ sales experience required
• 2-5 years’ experience as a Sales Manager
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
• Able to multi-task in fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
• Proficient level of computer skills; MS Word, Excel, Outlook
• Makes timely and sound decisions while using resources wisely
• Knowledge of Construction-related products is a plus
• Decision making and problem resolution skills
• Honesty, ethical, dedicated, dependable and approachable
• Team player and have the ability to meet assigned tasks

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• BS or BA in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business preferred
