Inventory Coordinator (5351)

Position Overview

This job is responsible for performing system functions that include validation of inventory from production, routine cycle counts, inventory adjustments, inventory balancing, and ensuring aged inventory identification for shipping. Oversee and maintain all inventory movements, tagging, and work closely with production, quality control, and Logistics to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and any reassignment of material. Plan locations and prepare warehouses for placement of inventory

This position reports directly to the General Foreman of Shipping. This position will work closely with Production, Quality Control, and Logistics departments.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

1) Work safely and promote safe practices to prevent on-the-job injuries
2) Understand the total Shipping and Finishing End process in order to work with both departments and to enhance job performances
3) Confirm production each day/shift
4) Coordinate the posting of finished goods and verify receipt for:
       a. Rework inventory
       b. Processor moves (as applicable)
       c. Offline Saw and/or Heat Treat (as applicable)
5) Cycle Counts
6) Scrap material management
       a. Physical management: Planning scrap movement to destination
       b. Electronic management: QMOS, OE, SAP, removal from inventory and cost allocations
7) Trigger product material re-assignments with QC department
8) Correct or change material piece counts
9) Research inventory discrepancies:
       a. Material not found
       b. Extra material found in warehouse
       c. Monitor Interim Zones LL01 and balance ( 921, 922, 901… etc)
       d. Balancing Inventory Management and Warehouse Management Systems within SAP
       e. Assisting, investigating, and resolving issues pertaining to inventory related billing errors
10) Responsible for maintaining inventory movements for rework
11) Managing both internal and external material stock transfers and inventories
12) Print tags, validate and process Receiving Reports, block/unblock holds in system, and generate routine reports (ex: aging reports) as needed.

Experience and Skill Requirements
  • 3+ Years of inventory and warehouse software experience. 5+ years preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Exposure to a variety of logistics concepts and procedures required.
  • Incumbent must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite  
  • Working knowledge of database management.
  • SAP Software experience is preferred.

 

Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
