Position Overview

CMC is currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This role interacts with customers face to face, over the phone, and via e-mail providing innovative solutions, technical expertise, and selling construction-related products. Successful candidates will have a customer focused mindset and a can-do attitude. This position works Monday- Friday on an 8-hour shift. The Inside Sales Representative role offers the opportunity to gain more knowledge of the Construction industry and to become a more seasoned sales professional.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Accurately track showroom inventory and replenish stock.
  • Maintain showroom display of products
  • Attend sales meetings, training, and activities
  • Develop in-depth product and customer knowledge
  • Accurate computer entry of sales orders and price/job quoting
  • Track open sales orders and process tickets to billing department
  • Maintain cash drawer and process cash report
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team


Experience and Skill Requirements


  • 1-3 years sales experience required
  • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Able to multi-task in fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Proficient level of computer skills; MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Makes timely and sound decisions; uses resources wisely
  • Should be honest, ethical, dedicated, and approachable
  • Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs
  • Should be a team player and have the ability to meet assigned tasks
  • Should possess good time management skills
  • Is organized and shows attention to detail, with a “get-it-right-the-first-time” mindset.
  • Displays a positive, can-do attitude; maintains composure when faced with difficult situations
  • Willingness to learn and tackle new challenges

Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
