Position Overview

CMC Rebar is currently seeking Machine Operators to operate Rebar Fabrication equipment and load material in a safe, timely and efficient manner. This position is currently for second shift (2:30pm - 1am). 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate conduct consistent with Commercial Metals Company Guiding Principals
  • Maintain a safe working environment and exhibit a positive safety attitude 
  • Operate a shearing machine to cut reinforcing steel bars to specific lengths 
  • Operate a bending machine to bend reinforcing steel bars to specified shape
  • Operate overhead crane to move, assemble and select material to be fabricated or shipped 
  • Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping 
  • Unload trailers and store material in storage bins 
  • Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner 
  • Assist other employees in any of the above tasks
