Maintenance Mechanic (5014)

Position Overview

We have a Maintenance Mechanic position open at our Etiwanda location. We are looking for a well qualified person to provide maintenance for our mechanical equipment and support plant operations in an accurate and efficient manner while observing CMC Safety Policies and Procedures.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

1.Repair and maintain shop machinery and mechanical equipment such as overhead cranes, shears, benders, threaders, forges, induction heaters, and welders
2. Participate in safety programs
3. Guide technicians on trouble shooting and job orders
4. Maintain all job site equipment in a good, clean, orderly condition and reports all deficiencies to supervisor
5. Maintains and cleans equipment, performs required inspections, completes paperwork, and assumes accountability
6. Follow OSHA and HAZMAT rules and regulations
7. Identify the problem and cause of failure through logical troubleshooting steps
8. Repair & replace machine components
9. Complete service reports & parts orders timely and accurately
10. Lubricate & clean parts
11. Complete and file all applicable reports and paperwork
12. Be able to fix minor electrical problems
13. Other responsibilities may be assigned

Experience and Skill Requirements

Construction/rebar terminology
Welding, machining, & metal fabrication
Good verbal and written communication skills - OEM tech support interface
Candidate must have their own hand tools
Electrical Knowledge as it relates to industrial machinery
Three years of mechanical knowledge and ability
Three years of experience and ability to perform electrical and troubleshooting
Ability to PLC Electrical and hydraulic system trouble shooting
Ability to read simple electrical / mechanical drawings
Ability to arc welding and cutting torch experience
Safety LOTO experience
Communicates effectively
Read and interpret schematics
Moves swiftly and efficiently between tasks
1 year experience working in manufacturing environment preferred
