Position Overview

Commercial Metals Company is currently seeking a Material Handler to support the CMC Recycling line of business. As part of the CMC team, the material handler oversees the process of separating various scrap materials. In addition, the metal sorter takes material from one location to another and may be involved in the process of extracting and loading the material to be transported. With an uncontrolled climate this position's working conditions include exposure to heat and cold. This is an hourly position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM. Overtime can be expected to accommodate business needs.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Identifies, transports, packs, removes, and disposes of materials
  • Access weigh materials inbound and outbound into process area
  • Must follow safety procedures and regulations, including wearing special protective gear and disposing of materials as regulated by law
  • May be responsible for other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Working conditions can be noisy/ dusty/ hot/ cold
