Position Overview

Commercial Metals Company is currently seeking a Project Manager to manage construction project(s) through proper coordination, direction, and planning to ensure that the goals and objectives are accomplished within the designated time and cost parameters to meet customer and company expectations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Review project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding margins, and procedures
• Prepares project reports for management and/or customer
• Prepare and collect change orders
• Manage costs and maximize profitability
• Liaison between customers and internal departments
• Travel to and from project sites
• Other responsibilities assigned

Experience and Skill Requirements

Must be able to read and write English clearly. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels within and outside the organization is essential. Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in one of the following area: Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration and/or minimum 5 years in a related/similar position within the construction industry
• Knowledge of construction industry
• Understanding of project costs/cost control
• Ability to read and understand contract documents and drawings
• Business / financial acumen
