Position Overview

The Shipping & Inventory Shift Manager shall support the business strategies and goals of the department, division, CMCA and CMC. The Shipping & Inventory Shift Manager provides the tools and resources necessary to foster an atmosphere of continuous improvement for themselves, their people, and the department to protect shareholder investment and operational capacity.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Must be able to direct and coordinate activities of the Shipping Department to include: safety, quality, production, shipping/receiving, planning/scheduling, training, and any other tasks as assigned or required.
  • Drive continuous improvement. This includes steady increases in employee productivity, up-time improvements, and lead time reductions.
  • Communicate with management staff and maintain familiarity with customer expectations.
  • Responsible for meeting and/or exceeding customer expectations related to: on time performance, customer satisfaction/service, and cost controls.
  • Must hold employees accountable for results and effectively communicated what is expected of them.
  • Maintain and turn in all daily/monthly reports required by management.
  • Ensure adherence to CMC Principles, Culture and Code of Conduct, company policies and procedures while acting with integrity at all times.
  • Must be willing to work weekends, nights, and holidays as required based on production needs.
Experience and Skill Requirements
  • Five years of successful operational leadership experience preferred
  • Must have well-developed communication skills with emotional maturity, a thorough understanding of the business process in a manufacturing environment, and have organizational skills.
  • Must have critical thinking and analytical skills, the ability to teach, train, and coach; time management; and the ability to delegate those tasks best performed by employees.
  • Must have a strong leadership ability to focus, prioritize, and match skills to tasks.
  • Must have the ability to supervise employees and set clear expectations.
Education Requirements
  • HS diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s or Associate Degree preferred
