Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Storeroom Clerk to join our steel mill in Durant, OK! The Storeroom Clerk assists our team through retrieving and delivering parts and equipment instrumental to maintaining our facility. This individual will be required to operate a forklift. This is a full-time position that works days and/or night shifts including weekends and holidays.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Complete all tasks while remaining in compliance with departmental procedures.
• Operate mobile lifting equipment.
• Retrieve and deliver parts from the Storeroom efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure mobile equipment is issued out / returned properly.
• Assist with internal inventory accuracy measures.
• Assist department with housekeeping measures to ensure a clean, safe work environment.
• Be a positive, enthusiastic and passionate team member
• Actively participate in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively uphold the CMC Safety Culture at work and at home.
• Plan, coordinate, and communicate with peers and supervisors daily to ensure safe operations, preservation of company assets, environmental compliance, cost and energy consciousness.
• Communicate and coordinate with crew members to sustain quality service that meets or exceeds customer expectations and is sustained within department specifications.

Experience and Skill Requirements

• Strong math and analytical skills.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Must be able to operate a forklift.
• Inventory experience preferred.
• Must speak and understand English in verbal and written communication.

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
